This Privacy Policy explains how TrustGate AI ("TrustGate," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit trustgateai.io and related pages (the "Site") or contact us.
A note on our product. This policy covers our website. The TrustGate AI gateway itself is self-hosted: it runs inside your own infrastructure with zero data egress, and we do not receive, store, or have access to the prompts, documents, tool calls, or other data your agents process. Your use of the product is governed by your separate license or services agreement, not this policy.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you fill in a form on the Site — to request a demo, request access, contact us, or download a resource such as our threat-coverage report — we collect the details you submit, which may include your name, work email address, company name, team size, your area of interest, and any message you provide.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our analytics provider automatically collect limited technical and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page, and interactions with the Site. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 5).
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information through the Site, and we ask that you not submit it in free-text fields.
2. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- respond to your inquiries and provide the demos, access, or resources you request;
- communicate with you about TrustGate, including relevant product and security updates you have asked for;
- operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Site;
- understand how the Site is used through aggregate analytics; and
- comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.
Where you ask us to contact you, we do so on the basis of the consent you give when you submit a form, and we keep a record of that consent (including the consent wording, version, and the date and time you provided it). You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at founder@trustgateai.io. We will only send you product or marketing updates if you separately opt in to them.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to serve third-party advertising.
3. Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process personal information on the following legal bases: your consent (e.g., optional communications and non-essential cookies); our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and promoting our business in a way that does not override your rights; and to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract.
4. How we share information
We share information only with:
- Service providers who process data on our behalf, under contract, including: our hosting provider (Vercel), our transactional email provider (Resend), and our product-analytics provider (PostHog);
- Professional advisers, authorities, or others where necessary to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect rights, safety, and property; and
- A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
5. Cookies and analytics
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality and for analytics. We use PostHog to understand Site usage; analytics requests are proxied through our own domain. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and where required we will request your consent for non-essential cookies. Disabling cookies may affect some Site features.
6. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy — for example, to respond to your inquiry and maintain a record of our communications — and thereafter as required to meet legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. International transfers
We may process and store information in countries other than the one in which you reside. Where we transfer personal information across borders, we use appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Residents of the EEA/UK (GDPR) and California (CCPA/CPRA), among others, have specific rights, including the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising them. To make a request, contact us at founder@trustgateai.io. We will respond as required by applicable law, and you may have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
10. Children
The Site is intended for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party websites and services we do not control. This policy does not apply to those sites, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
